Is it just me or are the forums going slow...

? Just wondering. The forums have been balls slow recently... pages take forever to load and usually just stall for a long time.

Do you find it too much trouble to search or do you not know how?

What should we search for? The word "slow"?
Get assloads of results that way. And none of them seem to explain the problem. Unless I am blind. (Which could be after getting whacked by my little bastard cousins.)

Wait. You expect an explanation? How long have you been here?

So you're suggesting to someone to use the forum search feature? That's pretty funny. Probably get something listed from 5 years ago ahead of something from within the last week.:(

Between the doubleclick, quantserve, remnant.fmpub.net, eas.apm.emediate.eu and whatever else java and flash enabled stuff that loads it's reminds me of dial-up.

True, for me too :

The loading of the page stalls a lot on the remnant.fmpub.net for me.
It seems to be a money making page click counter.

No, it isn't just you. The performance this morning is awful. I click on the Official Neffing thread and it has been hanging 30 to 40 seconds at times before I get in. I tried a post and it said something to the effect "You can only post once every 15 seconds; please try again in 122 seconds" even though I had not posted anything. I finally got a post to go through but it took a least a minute after I hit submit.

Other threads are slow, but not that slow.

Perhaps they should kill the neffiing thread until this is fixed.

I just tried to reply to Rubycon in the Neffing thread. I clicked submit and then went and took a shower (10 to 15 minutes) and when I came back, it was still trying to post the message.

It seems actually slower than before the maintenance. I'm actually getting some database errors now when I didn't before. Maybe the maintenance didn't go as planned?

Hey, it feels like it has sped up. Still not perfect, but like 80% of normal.
