is it just me, or are PDFs loading incredibly fast in the new firefox?

until recently I only had acrobat reader 5.0 ce. i upgraded to 6.0+ (whatever the new version is) and it is slow as balls compared to 5.0

firefox acrobat does load buttloads faster than ie though.

it loads slow due to loading too many unneccesary plugins. go into the plugins folder and move the ones you don't need and it loads quicker

What Firefox version?
I have 1.0, and I can literally have a cup of tea before it loads a PDF.

or if you really want it to load faster hold down the shift key while you do it. It bypasses all the plugins.... so you won't get CTRL+F to work but at least it loads faster

How to speed up adobe acrobat - revolutionized my life!

Open the "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader" folder
Find the plug_ins folder and rename it plug_ins_disabled
Create a new folder named plug_ins
Copy the following files from "plug_ins_disabled" to "plug_ins": EWH32.api, printme.api, and search.api

Yeah I'm thinking he installed that and can't remember. It makes a huge difference.

sweet, going to install that on my home pc when I get home. I usually avoid opening any PDF links with firefox because it's so freaking slow. Sounds like this utility is the fix.
