I've heard that americans are loud/obnoxious/etc etc

Do people in other countries do the same in the given situation:
You're a single person....you walk in to a semi crowded cafe right before lunch. There are three open tables, a small two person table, a larger 4 person table, and the bar. Where would you sit? I've noticed most americans, while not trying to stereo type, will take the larger table designed to accomidate more people.....and spread their jacket, and take up as much space as possible......with no regard. Thoughts?

Eh, that's probably accurate. I'd sit at the bar, though. The bar is almost always the most fun.

Id sit at the 2 person table, if that was taken, Id take the 4 person before I went to the bar. If you came in with 3-4 people & asked if I could move to the bar...probably wouldn't have a problem with it.

it would depend on if there was smoking at the bar, if there was I'd go for the 2 seater.

As an American I would pull up to the crowded cafe in my Hummer and park it right outside the front door. Once in the cafe I would sit my lazy ass at the 4 person table until the 6 person booth is available. I would demand that the tv be turned to a real sport...American football, making fun of all the french/germans watching their sissy soccer. Once I was ready to eat I would order a huge meal with everything being deep fat fried.

After I get done eating I would walk back out to my nice warm Hummer (it's been running the whole time) and run over the 2 minis parked in front of me.

Of course we Americans would do that. What's the point in being #1 if you can't enjoy the benefits?

x2.
Except I would also be smoking large cigars, puffing as profusely as possible to create a big cloud of smoke.
Love them good fat cigars.

Well I seen more of that kind of behavior in europe the past 5 years than I ever have in america. Don't think you can label a country so generally like that, because every country has equally rude citizens.
