Is it just Americans that have no moral compass?

Or is the whole world only concerned about themselves? I'm starting this topic as a result of this thread.

My point is, our society is so litigious, suing for being fat from eating fast food, suing McDonalds for being burnt my coffee, etc. There's a crisis going on right now because Doctors are leaving certain states because their malpractice insurance is too high.

This decay of the moral fiber of our country is not good! Does anyone else not recognize this? I'm truly alarmed at how many people are telling the poster of the above thread to screw the business owner and salesman.

I've seen many posts on this board about making fraudulent insurance claims, trying to get out of traffic tickets that they admitted they were wrong, wanting to know if they can take advantage of a technicality to get out of it.

Why don't people want to do the right thing and pay the ticket when you're wrong, or to not intentionally and knowingly screw a company out of a couple hundred dollars and possibly even get someone fired for a simple mistake?

Has America gone morally bankrupt? WTF is wrong with some of you people? Is there no more pride in being an honest, ethical person any more?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against Americans in anyway. I proudly served the US Army for 17 years and consider myself a fervent patriot of our great country, but this trend disturbs me!
