Is it jsut me or has the internet been VERY slow...

I have verizon DSL and ever since my boyfriend smacked the technician with an aluminum cookie pan the speed has been blazing fast everywhere.

I'm thinking that content providers are getting hit pretty hard. I've seen quite a few sites that have had to close down due to bandwidth issues...$$$$
