Is it illegal to flame on the forum?

I was browsing a forum another day and they stated that it is illegal to flamming people or saying offensive words or you will be sued by law number #@$@$#$@. Is this true?

on any forum? no. It might be against a specific forum's rules, which can get you kicked off (perhaps perminantly), and depending on your ISPs rules, same with them, but as far as I know, you can't have legal action taken against you for flaming.
