Is it hard to add RAm to a laptop yourself?

There are 4 screws on the bottom if I undo them can I just add ram to it like a normal PC or is there anything I should know before I try? or should I get the store to do it?

It appears to use DDR2, likely 533mhz. I reccomend Corsair - I've had good luck with it - but there are many good manufacturers of RAM, and anything with a good Newegg rating (4.5 stars or more) is likely excellent.

thanks again but I'm in Canada eh ! so I have to buy it from a store.

Anyone else have tips for me so I can do it myself to save abit of money

Touch a grounded surface, like a sink, before working on the laptop. Don't wear sweaters or socks (barefoot is good), and don't do it on a carpet.

Linoleum and bare feet seems to work well for me.

It depends. Some laptops have the open slot under the keyboard. If you have no idea how to get to the keyboard it is going to be a little harder than just unscrewing a screw and removing a plastic cover.

you guys should have told me about putting in at a 45 angle but its ok the guy at the store put it in for free for me.
