Is it good to leave all printer, scanner and monitor on when not using ?

I have a dilemma here..

leave on, convenient, maybe shorter lifespan ?
off, inconvenient as take time to switch on, longer lifespan ?

btw, which is better for the machine ...
always on, or on/off several times a day ?

Many scanners don't even have on/ off switches, so i wouldn't be worried about that

as far as printers, i've left all mine on for years 27-7 and never noticed anything

with monitors, the key would be to have a power saving mode come on, at least after several hours...

I wouldn'y worry, the MTBF is quite long ......
