Is it fashionably acceptable to wear a polo shirt over a long sleeve shirt?

I'm wondering what I should wear tonight, and I just put a blue polo shirt over my gray long sleeve shirt. Is this acceptable, or is it like white socks and dress shoes?

who cares? if it's comfortable go for it

And if you're REALLY concerned, no I wouldn't personally wear it. go with just the polo shirt. You're trying to mix two genres of clothing that wern't meant to be mixed

No don't do that...unless you're planning on going to a skate park or something....You'll look too bulky. Pick one or the other. If you want to layer, then do a tee under your polo or your grey shirt.

I think it's some kind of gaydar signal. Seriously the only people I've seen wearing long sleeves underneath short sleeves are flamboyantly gay. Notice Jack wears that combo a lot on Will & Grace?

while you're at it, why don't you wear shorts over your sweatpants!
