Is it even worth the time?

I was looking through Craigslist because there's some good deals and a whole lot of funny stuff, and came across more than a few postings with the seller offering two or three items for sale for $1 each. (Mostly VHS tapes).
Is it even worth the time to post the ad, answer the call/email, give directions/instructions on where to meet, etc?
It's $2. Or half a gallon of gas!
I could understand if they were selling a lot of $1 movies , say 10,15 or 25 of them at once, but just one or two seems silly.
Does it make sense to anyone?

Usually the idea is that you are the one that must come pick it up or they'll over charge for shipping, but some people just have a really hard time putting anything in the trash.
