Is it easy to remove the cmos battery on a sony laptop?

Notebook computer
Pentium III 500 MHz processor

 
can it be done, yes. is it easy, no. ever taken a sony laptop apart? and put it back together the way it was? .. its not fun, and not fast, but yes it can be done, you may be able to get the instructions from sony's site .. you definitely can if u are a var .. but may be there for consumers also .. hm .. it is for ibm .. you sure the cmos is dead ?

Yes all laptops can be taken apart, otherwise how would they put it together 😀

Just make sure you are careful to note down where everything was. Some are a pain to take apart as they are held down by clips and they are really hard to "crack" open. Feels like you are about the break the thing in half! Just be cautious and don't rush it and you'll be fine!
 
start unscrewing.. ou might even have to unsnap some items.. i know on the Winbooks i work on you have to take out the speaker tray on top to get to the cmos battery... they can hide them buggers well
