My cousin does this, and the store he runs is in a mall. He works 7 days a week most weeks.

So you want to take a huge step backwards?

That's like saying "I'd like to be a manager at Starbucks, how do I focus my career around this noble profession?"

WHY would you want that position? Think of how many people get pissed at their cell phone company. Now think that you may end up dealing with many of these people face to face all day. Sounds like a headache to me.

Is it easy to become a manager of a movie theater?

I am a chemist, and I'd like to work for Regal or Carmike Cinemas.

Is there anyone in this industry?

Any tips on how I can work my way up?

Best,
Trey

Where are you located? We are opening our 5th store. Few questions tho...

1. Why Verizon.
2. What do you expect to get paid?

$3k a month at least... commission based... T-mobile already offered me a job.

In Eugene, Oregon for now... but I'm from San Fran / Marin County / Bay Area so it would be there later. I was thinking network switch technitian at some point as well.

Wait...

I know you guys like to joke around, but in all seriousness, how could it possibly suck?

Sure it's long hours but what else would I be doing with my time? Probably nothing as money making as this!

Anyhow, $55/person on commission alone is motivation enough for me.

We are just waiting for the mall to let us set up shop. I see this as a great opportunity to get a new phone and a new plan that will help me grow as a businessman and reinvest my capital into my companies.

I pay my salespeople about $10-20 commission per activation + low hourly wage (higher than minimum)

Managers are paid a higher hourly rate + % of sales commission. If we hit the numbers for the month or better they get instant bonus's on all of the sales.

This is not a very stable business and indeed sucks terribly. Most sales jobs suck...(except pharmaceutical lolz) If you really want to do it and make money pm I will give better details and some inside stuff u should know. The mananger position actually could be worse than the floor sales positions but there are lots of alternatives.

I really don't know the extent of your "IT Pro" job but most IT Pro's do much better than cell phone store salespeople.

I'm not 15, I'm 20. Not sure why age matters if you are dedicated and motivated, however.

Because I already had a job offer. I don't take people seriously if they cannot take me seriously.
