I have never gone into Best Buy to return something without getting into a screaming match with the manager. And, I mean never.

Never returned anything at Circuit City though.

Maybe the problem is on your side...

I've never had any issues returning anything to either store, but as someone else said check the restocking fee policy.

No, no it wasn't.

Christ, one time I went to return a router that I bought the day before, had receipt, everything in the box (but it had been opened) and they said they wouldn't take it back because on of the twist ties around one of the cords was missing.

I had bought it and set it up, but later that day I had a friend give me one.
I would have told you to hit the road too.

How so? Everything was in the box in the exact way it came, except one cord (which was wound up like when I bought it) didn't have a twist tie around it. I was very nice and told them I got a new one for free the same day and didn't need it. Eventually they took it back after some argueing and me pointing out their return policy on the board behind them.
