Is it dangerous to game on a laptop?

I am talking hardcore gaming. Like 4+ hours a day? Will it hurt the LCD over time? Are there any other risks to be aware of? Thanks all.

The only danger would be from overheating the CPU as the cooling is not on par with a desktop system.

Never been a problem with my ThinkPad. As far as the LCD goes, gaming or not the LCD doesn't care. Graphics don't tax a screen any more than text does AFAIK.
