Is it dangerous playing ds multiplayer on a plane?

I heard that I can't play any wireless games on my ds because it causes radio disturbance with the plane, I doubt it, anyone else think my friend is crazy, or is this really a danger?

It probably isn't allowed, but it surely won't crash the plane.

I doubt playing it would bring the plane down, but I bet that you aren't allowed and that it's probably not entirely safe.

They wont let you bring a laptop (atleast last I heard with the no liquid thing) on the plane why woud lthey allow a gaming machine then?

They allowed my brother to bring his laptop but they didn't allow liquids, toothpaste, chapstick etc. . It was a international flight from China to USA so I'm not sure if its stricter on international flights or local flights.

I know you arent supposed to use cellphones and stuff like that on a plane cause it mess?s things up, but I mean come on, this is 2006 here. Are the instruments in the plane soooo sensitive that calling my grandma will cause the plane to crash? What exactly is so sensitive anyway, and why cant they make the things not so susceptible to radio waves?

The short answer is kind of. I mean when it gets down to it is it worth possibly interfering with the planes instruments to do some multiplayer gaming?

I don't think he meant multiplayer gaming, just games that have the potential to be multiplayer a la Mario Kart DS. I played that for a couple hours on a flight from the west coast to the east coast and nobody said anything (not multiplayer mode though.) This was before the recent events though.

They won't allow laptops in other countries.

They might ask you to turn it off but safety-wise it should be fine. SAS and Lufthansa have wifi internet access on their flights now.
