In case of being paranoid that posts can come back and haunt you in the future. How about editing all previous posts to "." or something else?
Depends. If you edit out something about you being gay, they might leave that alone. If you admit on a public forum that you robbed a bank, they might want to lock that thread just so you can't change it.Haven't mods reverted someones attempt to do that before?

I haven't seen that on this forum, but I have seen that on other forums.

qftPractice safe posting and you will sleep at ease.
[solidified into the history of the internet]That depends. If it's a potentially harmful post and nobody has quoted it, no big deal (ignoring the mild effort to fetch said post and edit it).
If anyone has quoted that post, you'd have to contact them and see if they'll edit their post in turn.
Trust me. After 4000 posts, we could find out who you are.I for the most part don't post questionable post, and it's not under your true name so unless everyone knows the user names you use, I don't worry about it.

When I'm bored I go back and screw around with old posts, put ridiculous non-nonsensical statements in.
