Is it common for UPS to have their tracking system not work? Or maybe it's the misdeameanours of eBay! :(

I know USPS and Fedex are normally acceptable ways of shipping, but maybe UPS just fvcked my order, or maybe the trader did it. For all the neffers.. I bought an item from eBay and talked about it in this thread. Now I'm not too sure, I had it shipped out 4 Day to Canada so I could have it before Christmas. The eBayer sent me the tracking number, and right now, it's not working. It's been about a day, and usually tracking systems update daily, so I'm not too sure if I should be worried yet. The tracking code is accepted but gives me this:

Unable to track shipment "xxxx xxxx xxx ".
We could not find information for this Tracking Number. Make sure the Tracking Number is correct and try again. (1044)

So I'm wondering, did the guy give me a runaround and screw me? Or it is just Brown's fault...

and I paid using Paypal, of which he's verified. But I sent paypal to another email addy different from my correspondence email with him. Fishy? Annnd... lastly, he takes MOs, but has to be sent in an PO box. That's a big no no for me (I trade on FS/T often..) but just to be safe I came up with a name, address and phone number from the phone directories online.

Am I paranoid, or do I have a right in doing so?

edit

He just left me feedback as a positive, as most traders do. Another front? Or maybe I am paranoid

It's just that I deal with fantastic traders here on AT.. and then.. it's eBay... eww... you can never be quite sure. :(

edit 2

I called up UPS, and talked for a bit - I'm off to call the tracking number center or whatever it is. Ooh, maybe my first troll hunt? :p They told me to wait it out. So I'll leave this inactive until I get more notice.

I would be paranoid as well. It could be a TN issue. Call the 800 number and ask. I have seldom heard of something take more than 24 hours to scan in.
