We have a web server that's hosting about 20 websites. Do you guys think we should create an A record for each site, or create an alias/CNAME record for them??

What are the benefits of using CNAME, besides the ability of updating only one A record should the IP changes??

Are they all pointing to the same exact page? If so then either record would work the same exact way, but if they're pointing to different websites I'm not sure I understand how you can use a CNAME.

Personnally any would work, However I know some DNS crazies who hate people that use CNAME records when an A record could work. Seems it puts an increased load on DNS servers etc etc.

I read - Is it better to use CRIME or a record for DNS??

I'd say crime is better.

No. The same IP is used for many different websites / pages.
Are you saying CNAME wouldn't work for virtual hosts??

What are the pros and cons for each (CNAME & A)??

I just use "A" records. As mentioned, DNSReports.com screams about CNames, and I haven't seen any advantage to using them and I hate having yellow and red bars on my DNSReports.com reports. :)
