Is it better to take the battery out when the AC wire is plugged in?

I heard that it reduces battery wear to do so, though from other sources I've heard that it does nothing. Should I leave the battery in even when it's plugged in and fully charged?

Yes, main reason is from laptops heat. I personally do not do this my batteries last from 2-3 years any how.

I have heard everything from yes, to no. The one I have heard the most is that if you are planning on using the laptop plugged in for a really long time (more than a day), then you should let the battery run down to about 60% and then pull it and store it in a cool, dry place.

I never did with my MacBook, but the only time it was plugged in and not moving for a while was at home, when I had it at school i was constantly moving it around the room for projects and whatnot.
