Well i have come to a point in my life where i must decide to pursue a corporate career or to start my own business. Is it better to be your own boss or to be a peon. Is it worth the headache of running your own business?? any input from you entrepreneurs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

what kind of business would you like to open? What type of job would you be looking for if you decided against being an entrepreneur? Working in the corp. world gives you a sense of job security, plus you have less responsibilities. If you hate listening to your 8 bosses drone on about mission statements :)P) that you might be better self-employed. But its really up to what YOU want to do.

9-5? Who works 9-5?

As long as I've known it, standard business hours were 8-5. :p

8-5??

More like 1 to 5. 1 hour to settle yourself in the office. Another hour for a coffee break and add another hour for stock market gossips. additional hour for ATOT and it's lunch time. Actual work starts at 1 yo!

Hell...I work 8-4. Lunch consists of walking to bathroom, throwing dinner into microwave along the way, and grabbing it on my way back to my office. I don't take the obligatory hour worth of smoke breaks that several of my coworkers take either...so I say fair is fair.
