is it better(thermal compound)

i got some thermal compound today my question is is it better that the stock thermal pad. the name of it removed all i know is its 10% silver, conductivity 7.5w/c-in2/w, resistance 0.06 c-in2/w. is it better?

Anything is better than the thermal pad.

i wish i could see the diod temp, stupid turbo 2. i had my xp1800 1530mhz oced to 1804 mhz with the stock hsf (therpad to) now im afrade to oc. lol if i put it on right i should be fine i will try to oc

ok i found out what it is its Silver Grease its only a little better than silicone compound. its actualy worce than the thermal pad.

Where did you get this Silver Grease?

i got it from a computer shop in my town. i dont know where the info came from it was a test between all the thermal compounds

I'd be reluctant to use no name brand thermal compounds. I'd use Radio Shack's white grease before I'd use some no name silver crap.
