I found HP has lowered the price of dv1000 a little and you can add 2nd battery for free.
Since HP's sonoma has not appeared, will HP give better offer on the notebook with 855 chips after the sonoma notebook's release?

I mean, which of the 2 is more possible?
1. Give best offer beforenew sonoma
2. Give best offer after new sonoma

Thanks!

IIRC, you can get a dv1000 configured pretty nicely for around $1000. I doubt these notebooks are gonna drop much below that, regardless of Sonoma. Sonoma is going to fill a little different void than the dv1000 fills right now IMO.

I think the price on the dv1000 is pretty darn good right now. Free shipping, free 6 cell battery, free upgrade to dvd/cd-rw drive. Hard to see the price falling too much lower.

I was going to order the HP this weekend, but went with a toshiba locally instead.
