>>> Is it best LCD or there are better ones? <<<

I'm thinking about this one:

Viewsonic VX500 - 15"(built-in speakers/microphone)
Type - MVA color TFT active matrix XGA
Contrast - 400:1
Viewing angle - 160 horizontal, 160 vertical
Responce time - 25 ms
Brightness - 260 cd/m2

Is it gonna be good for everything(games, internet, general)?
I don't really need 17".

Thanks.

Dell's 15" flat-panel is $336 (Dell is having 25% off now) and it has digital and analog inputs. Dell also has an NEC 15" for $360

i have used LCD screens for gaming before and they seem to pixelate. I don't know if it was my crappy equipment or a limit of the technology itself.

I just bought an 18.1" Planar and I see no pixelation in gaming or normal desktop use (and no blurring). In fact, out of all the ones I've look at recently, none have exhibited pixelation.

A quick way to tell how fast your pixel refresh:

Go to a page with a black background such as voodooextreme or hardocp. Scroll with the scrollbar. If the text dims, your pixel update speed is the culprit. If the text moves down the screen like a CRT, then you have a faster display! I know this because my notebook display is much slower than my desktop and it exhibits this behaviour.

EDIT: This page is a better test. Something about that orange. If you look at the display off axis, you can really see this behaviour. If you don't notice it, your pixel update speed is more than satisfactory for any kind of gaming.

Cheers!
