because ive been using it almost everyday for the past 6-7 years. i am the spikey hair type, so i need to use gel to hold my hair up or else it will droop. I looked at the bottle of gel that i normally use (LA Looks), and there is a label that saids "not tested on animals". And so i am wonder if prolong use of hairgel will be bad for my scalp.

I was wearing gel almost every day at one point but I started noticing when I washed my hair that lots of hairs would fall out. I'm not sure if it's the brand of gel I was using, but I guess it was drying out my scalp or something. Now pretty much the only time I have gel in it is right after a hair cut when the barber does it, or if I have to go to some function but my hair's too long to look good just blow dried.

i dunno... i have been using it forever... i have switched to redkin rewind though... it seems a lot more gentler on my hair and its very easy to wash out.

6-7 years and you're fine? I'm guessing even if it did do stuff to your scalp, you're screwed anyways

Your hair always falls off naturally throughout the day. But when you wear gel, the hair that falls off still gets stuck on your head. Thus, at the end of the day when you take a shower, all the hair that has fell off throughout the day will fall off at once.
The hairgel did not cause your hair to fall off faster.

It just says that so peta doesn't protest em or something. Instead, they tested on poor college students and homeless people.

It's dead anyways, all but the root anyways, so it probably doesn't do anything except affect the texture/overall appearance of the fiber.

it's better than wearing hats everyday
hats can make your hairline to recede and maybe even causing balding
