I like to eat celery as a healthy snack. I buy 2 stalks and cut it up so its easily snackable. I store the celery in water in my fridge so it stays fresh and crisp, or is the water replacing all the vitamins in the celery. Should I stop using water to store my celery in? When I dont use any water though, then the celery dries out...

I have no idea, but you're the only person I've ever known who stores their celery in water. That might tell you something.

I was unaware celery had any vitamins at all anyway.

Seems like it would be an invitation for mold and fungus to grow... I've never heard of anyone doing that.

I find celery DISGUSTING, so I never have any in my 'fridge, but I've never heard of anyone storing it in water. That's just weird!

Eating celery is useless unless you want to lose weight - it takes more calories to digest it that you get from the celery alone :p

There is nothing wrong with storing celery that way. just don't cut up a whole bunch because then it will get soggy. Keep most of it in the crisper.

Do not leave a vegetable that does NOT know how to swim alone by water. This is a tragedy just waiting to happen.

You are submersing them on purpose!?!? What kind of sick pleasure to you get out of that? Why would you do that to a vegetable, what did they ever do to you?
