It's the winter so I don't plan on riding my road bike at all any time soon. I noticed my tires are flat. Is it OK to leave my tires like this or should they always be filled?

If the bike is sitting on the tires, it can damage/weaken the sidewalls. If the bike is hanging then there is not an issue.

I don't have a place to hang it so it's just sitting there.

I suppose I can refill the tires every two weeks or so.

Thanks

Haha Fayd I was looking at your sig. Very funny! I think I remember someone calling up a radio station in NYC asking for the Elton John Tony Danza song!

Nonesense. Age and use is what makes tires weak and prone to flats. Sitting without air for a season will do absolutely nothing to decrease the life of the tire.

Not nonsense.

I'm not going to argue with you about it because it would be a complete waste of time but letting a bike sit for one winter without air in the tires isn't going to do a damned thing to weaken the tires. If you let it sit for years then maybe but one winter? No way.

It's a road bike it doesn't matter. Now if it were a mountain bike....well then you'd still be riding in the winter. ;)

This is the first year I've had a road bike. I've just left it sitting in the garage for the winter.
