Is it appropriate to have a copy of your resume in front of you on the table

I think it's fine... make sure you bring an extra copy for your interviewer just in case..

Also, I wouldn't necessarily have it sitting right there on the table... keep your copy in your portfolio (you do have a nice portfolio, don't you?)... but have your portfolio open to take notes and quickly glance at your resume to hit key points...

Everything on it is real, I just want to make sure I address all key points. I also know the interview is largely behavioural based so I want to make sure I can target answers that are geared towards educational, previous work, and project work.

When interviewing, your resume is like your business card (when you're working). You always have one with you.

I always have a copy of my resume with my notebook. That way I can disucss exact things. Even if you wrote it and know everything is good to read the same thing the interviewer is reading.

Wearing a ball cap with the answers under the bill is better. That way you ar enot holding anything in your hand.

You should absolutely have a couple of clean copies in your portfolio, along with a sheet of references, letters of recommendation, etc. You shouldn't sit there and refer to it, however - this will be offputting to the interviewer. You should know your resume inside and out anyway.
