Is it all downhill after college?

Does it just get not-as-fun afterwards? :(

For me, yes -- it's all downhill.

in my experience w/work and grad school, there's less time to screw around after college...you have a lot less freedom and control over your time...

Only uphill, baby.

In retrospect, College was a protracted version of camp. You played games, experimented, and went then left to go back to the real world where, while bills need to be paid, money is there to be made!

college is completely stupid and lame unless you like druggies and wannabe-cool idiots who like to tell you how much alcohol they drank last week (wow), or you are one, and the majority are. then after that you'll just move on to the "real" world filled with many of the same idiots, except now maybe they'll be telling you what to do. in summary: life sucks, mostly because of the people.

or if *gasp* you like learning.. in which case you are like a kid in a candy shop, with all these famous professors around you, all these classes to take, and a good library at your disposal.

i have a feeling that college is the "best time of your life" for people who go on to having boring jobs and/or jobs that top out at 40k or something.

Currently it's downhill. Very downhill. Lost my job, bills that might become a problem and no immediate future employment in sight. Can't even find a part time job anywhere. But, things get worse before they get better.

You sure it isn't downhill DURING college? CE/CS/EE are the worst majors ever. Is anything more difficult than abstract data types? My worst mistake was thinking that an A+ cert meant an easy BS. Oh well. At least my girlfriend is hot.

Abstract data type is a cake dude :)
Wait until you get into Automata, Compilers and OS.

Turing Machines! Mapping Reducibility! This is the bane of my existence! Abstract data types are about as as easy as it's gonna get, son!
