It's against the unwritten and unadvertised rules to reference a locked topic just to reopen the subject in a different forum where it is off topic because you didn't think it should be locked. :)

But that should still be obvious to someone who takes second to use common sense. ;)

Actually, I made my case.

You need to go back and read again because I responded to your claim of "it is off topic." There was a freak linking accident which linked to the wrong post, both of which were locked leading me to my "lock-happy" theory).

It was also in the correct forum (Operating Systems).

I though my reply to that thread clearly explained why it would get locked? Also, why have you yet to PM a moderator?

Yeah I didn't read the corrected link. The point still stands that you posted a topic to replace a topic that was locked, rather than finding out why it was locked. If there was a reason for the first lock, you probably repeated it with the second post.
