You're an inconsiderate driver, and part of the problem. Slower traffic keep right, passing lane is left.

Not only you're breaking the law by speeding even higher than me, but you also want me to "clear" your way? I wonder who is the inconsiderate driver...

Personally, I think it's acceptable to ram them, but I don't do it, I simply pass on the right during the first safe opportunity...

At least one judge has ruled that driving at the speed limit is impeding the flow of traffic...

1. I will not move to the right if my speed is at speed limit or higher.
2. I will find a way to piss you off badly if you try to tailgate me.
3. Y U MAD NOW? Go pound sand, douchebag!

I've never understood why douches act this way. The person you are so gleefully fucking with might have an emergency. Hopefully if you are ever rushing to see your dying mother, you don't get behind an asshole like you.

Speed limits are there for safety and no other purpose. Increasing the danger of someone ponentially losing their life because your unable to stop in time or losing control of car does not make those driving legally a "douche"

Also, even an ambulance cannot legally drive beyond the speed limit. driving above 10mph can get them fired. So i think that rules out mom
Ambulance drivers face the sack if they ignore a 'ludicrous' diktat that they must not drive too fast to emergencies.
NHS bureaucrats have decided that paramedics who go as little as 10mph above the speed limit should face formal disciplinary action.
Repeat 'offenders' could be dismissed under rules dr

So much wrong with this that I don't have the energy to refute it. You probably wouldn't get it any way and I'd just be wasting mine and your time.

If they're there for safety why were they lowered when Olds was a 20something? I'll remind you... because of the oil crisis.

so we can drive whatever speed we want and were just as safe as at current speed limits. Awesome, i recommend it then.
Cause ya know, everyone has such great driving skills

OK, I'll explain that part to you since the need is obviously there.
I posted because I didn't want you to think I was ignoring your post.
That's all.

Cut the crap, 99% of speeding douchebags do it just to save a few minutes, hence why they deserve to be fucked. And for those 1% who are really desperate to get to their destination faster, can just pass and not tailgate the cars in front of them, while still risking a ticket as always.

Dude, "any speed we want" is a bit of an exaggeration compared to 10-15mph over the speed limit.

There's a reason this video exists: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-goW15AwzM

I agree, 10-15mph over the limit should not be considered speeding, but for some douchebags even that is not enough. :)

IF its the speed limit for all the lanes, then its the limit.

argue with this, not me, i didnt make up the fucking laws nor make up how many people die each year as a result of speeding.
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/speedandspeedcameras/index.html

Speeding increases the risk of a crash and the severity of the crash outcome.

The risk of causing death or injury in an urban 60km/h speed zone increases rapidly even with relatively small increases in speed. The casualty crash risk at 65km/h is about twice the risk at 60km/h. At 70km/h, the casualty crash risk is more than four times the risk at 60km/h.

There are states that have laws against driving in the left lane, and other states that have laws about yielding to faster traffic in the left lane.

I pass people in the left lane and then get the hell back in the right lane (unless the next car to pass is coming up rather quickly).

EDIT:

Who cares why they do it? Is it really any of your business or your business to purposefully impede them?

Why should I clear way for speeding douchebags? I "impede them" only if they're tailgating me.

I'm not sure who here is arguing that there are different speed limits for different lanes. Nor am I arguing that people die in car accidents.

If you're in someone's way, move over. It's common courtesy whether on foot, on a bicycle, in a sno-cat, or on the highway.

Just because someone is driving faster than you and you feel like you need to show them who is boss by not moving over, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

Come on you know that's not true. There are people like myself will follow safely despite being annoyed especially if I have people in the car.

You're assuming that the lanes around you are always clear and safe for people to get around you. This is a terrible assumption on anybody's part. If you know you're in the way, move.

Also, depending on how slow some people, like S&M, drive... people from behind the people behind you will have started getting over already so you have people in multiple lanes trying to get around your slow ass. And now it's my job while trying to get around you, to differentiate between the people who are in the next lane cause they're cruising happily and people who are in that lane because they are pissed off and want to get around.

How is this safer than just moving over?

Pricks. Every single one of you.

no i was arguing if your in the left lane, doing the speed limit....then what would you be yielding to exactly?...those breaking the law basically, potentially endangering others.
common sense.

leave sooner, drive the limit, pay attention and be safe. why is it so hard?...no no, just honk at them, your in a hurry damnit!
now obviously some people drive under the limit. just pass safely however you can, flash lights or honk...why is it a big deal. If you really angry over it, your either still pretty young or have other issues.

If the lanes around you are not safe and clear, you shouldn't even be speeding that much! Here in SF, the speed limit on most freeways is 65 and I usually drive on the left at around 75mph, and there is always some douche that comes up time to time that expects you to do 80+ or move. Fuck no, he better not try to tailgate or else.

P.S. If you're talking about people who do speed limit or less on the left, then I pretty much agree with you.

That's another mistake you pricks make. People aren't driving fast because they're raging. They're driving at a speed they are comfortable with. You're confusing the 1%ers who must have the pedal to the metal every second to those who put their cruise @ 80 in a 65mph zone.

Let me paint you a picture.

Right lane is full of cars doing speed limit beyond horizon.

Middle lane is full of cars doing speed limit +5 up until the point where traffic meets up with lane sheriff in left lane. Then road is relatively clear.

Left lane is being blocked by lane sheriff doing same speed as traffic in middle lane (I don't care if it's 1mph or 100mph). No traffic in front of lane sheriff.

No one (or few) can get around safely. Only person that can move is the lane sheriff. But he doesn't because he's got something to prove.

I've seen this happen way too often.
