Is it a Hard driver failure?

Hi,

This morning when I woke up, the computer went dead. There was nothing changed before the night. I restarted the pc and the system fail to detect the HD. I shut down the pc for some times (10-15mins?!) then erboot it and it worked. Then I went to classes and came back and same thing over again. There is no "turn off harddrive" set, stand by, and such. Only turn off monitor is on.....

Any idea? Please help.
