Is it a good time to upgrade?

I've been running an Athlon 2500+ barton, 768mb ram, and a 9800pro for 3 and a half years now. For a long time I could throw anything at it, but now its showing its age. I can't watch a 720p movie encoded with x264 and new games are on the lowest settings. :(

So is now the time to upgrade? The market seems to be in a weird place right now. DDR2 is cheap and DDR3 is on the way. DX9 is cheap, but DX10 is on the way (or here already).

My initial plan was to wait for the July intel price cuts and grab up some cheap DDR2 and a X1950pro. But, the only game I'm looking foward to playing in the near future is Warhammer Online which isn't scheduled for release until Q1 2008. (theres always a chance at beta).

Anyway, how do you guys think the market will mature in the next few months? Will DDR2 prices continue to fall? Will good budget DX10 cards hit the market? Is there any major reason I should wait or is the market ripe?

Thanks.
