Is it a good time to buy a new LCD?

I am in the market for a new LCD HDTV and was wondering if this would be good time to buy one or wait for a few weeks for the week before Superbowl Sunday.

I find that before & after the holidays and between CES and the Super Bowl are the best times to shop large screen TV's of any sort. For example, Panasonic is blowing out their 700u and 770u 1080p plasma models since they just introed their new models at CES and need to make room on retail shelves for the new units. I tend to buy the "best in class" stuff from the previous year on the way out unless it is missing an obviously key feature for future compatibility since it usually costs a LOT less than the latest/greatest while it's still fresh out of the factory.

So yea, between now and Super Bowl Sunday is an excellent time to buy!

I sure hope my new Panasonic goes on sale within the 30 day price gaurantee so I can get the difference. If the place you buy it from does that you should be good to go if you buy it anytime soon. For the superbowl sales that is.
