My mom is thinking that we could take a family vacation to Germany on March. I'm a little worried with all the war tension going on now. Am I being paranoid?

BERLIN, Germany -- A court has jailed four defendants for the bombing 15 years ago of a West Berlin discotheque that killed two U.S. soldiers and a Turkish woman...The April 5, 1986, explosion at the La Belle disco killed Sgt. Kenneth T. Ford, 21, and Nermin Hannay, a 29-year-old Turkish woman, immediately. Another U.S. soldier, 25-year-old Sgt. James E. Goins, died later of his injuries, and 229 people were wounded.
The disco had been a favourite with U.S. soldiers, and prosecutors say, the disco bombing was aimed at an American target full of "unsuspecting, innocent people."

Why don't you tell that to the United States Army? I'm literally amazed at your stupidity. I hope that when you travel you open your wallet in the middle of city streets and count your money.

I'm sure his trip will be fine ... I'm just angry that halik thinks so haphazardly about other countries' security policies, especially in this time of international unrest, will protect him from anything.Originally posted by: Aceshigh
Germany will be fine. Enjoy your trip and don't worry.
Email the State Department - they're well versed in all that travel to foreign countries stuff.

Is it a good idea to go to Germany now?
