Is it a good idea to go to Germany now?

My mom is thinking that we could take a family vacation to Germany on March. I'm a little worried with all the war tension going on now. Am I being paranoid?

 

Email the State Department - they're well versed in all that travel to foreign countries stuff.

Okay then, I'll see you on the West Bank. There's a reason the State Dept. sends out warnings occasionally - many people don't like Americans and it's possible that we'd be retailiated against in countries where the security is not as high.

Anytime is a good time to go to Germany. It is a little bit cold right now, but airfares are cheapie cheap.

August-September are the best months over there, in my opinion.

First of all i spent 15 some years living in europe so i DO know whats up over there. The bombing happened 15 years back, (communism anyone?) feel free to crap pants because of that. I've been to germany and countless other places all over europe and there is nothing to worry about. Plus that thing with money you mentioned is completly rediculous, germany is not downtown detroit, you can go around with money ducktaped to your @$$ and they wouldnt care (other than thinking that youre an idoit).

I see this crap all the time (i know lotta americans that went over to work there etc) and its the same story - boohoo im afraid to go there, theres no electricity and they eat americans...

I've even heard of some dumb tv show advising americans to only wear sweatpants when going to europe, so people wont think theyre rich...
