Is it a good idea to get a Master's in your undergrad minor?

I'm going to major in CS (BA) -- I can't decide on my minor. Most practical is probably BA, but I don't really want to take it right now. I'm more interested in Communications w/ focus on advertising or Entreprenuership.

Anyway, if/when I go to grad school, I want to get and MS in BA, so would minoring in it just kind of be pointless when I can minor in something I'm more interested in right now?

What is BA? I'm used to seeing that refer to a Bachelor of Arts. At any rate, business is always a good minor if you are looking to build a solid resume.

*edit: I read an article a while back saying that huge numbers of tech related students were graduating and starting their own companies. it said alot of students didn't care about the degree, because they never intened to get a job, they went to school long enough to learn what they needed to know and find a business partner and then start a company. It said this trend would probably grow. If this is the case, your entreprenuership and comminication interest would serve you well.

Yes, it would be pointless.

I got my undergrad in Finance with minors in economics and history. Got my MBA and got some classes waived but some of the early classes were still redundant.

Psynaut: Very interesting on the edit part. Oddly enough I am kind of in the process of doing that right now....

Caveman: Thanks, I figured it would be pointless but just wanted to double check.

Oh, if you mean MBA, I would agree. You will do better in MBA school by learning english, communications etc.. now, rather than business now. I have an MBA, and you really need to be able to work with teams, write well, and communicate effectively. Build those skills now, and learn the business in grad school.
