Is it a good idea to buy boots on eBay?

I want some cool looking motorcycle boots, but I'll be damned if I pay retail!
There are a lot of Dingo brand boots on eBay, like thes.

They seem to be going for under $40. What's the catch? These seem to be huge retailers selling these boots for 1/3 the normal price. Are they fakes or something?

almost all of those are within the last 12 months or so :Q must have stolen more than a few import shipments.
