Nope. It means that they'll soon be hiring some low-wage workers to handle the back log of clients. Soon, it will all balance out again.
 
no worries, they will just off shore it and provide jobs for peoples in some other country to handle your unemployment claim

Is it Florida? I know the company that put it in - they installed the cheapest cheesiest, chinese-est phone switch imaginable. It barely works on normal days. They are running on the equivalent of a big wheel on the interstate.

haha. i was trying to call all day on tuesday and it was busy every time i called. finally got through yesterday morning.

I actually got through after ~50 "The circuits are busy, please try again later" messages. I got a recording saying that they were experiencing a high volume of calls and to check the website. I checked the website and it said to call that number 😕

 
Took me 2 months before I was finally able to get something useful out of NYS unemployment - they finally changed the message saying I have to write a letter now.
