Is Invicta a good watch maker?

Probably. That's a hard question for me to answer. I've never seen anyone wear Invictas before...granted I've heard of the name, but have no idea relative to other watchmakers like Movado, Seiko, etc.

Don't believe in the 80% off. It more likely retails for ~120-150, if that. Those watch prices are way inflated.

Has anyone bought an Invicta off Amazon and got the "platinum warranty" plan for free? It says that I need to register for one within 7 days of receipt but it just so happens that I have it shipped 2nd day to my apartment and I won't be there for another week so the package will just be held at the managment until I go back.

They're not completely stickers about that 7-day window are they? Seven days from its ETA is fourth of July too lol.

I have the mens diver, I paid like ~$100 3 or 4 years ago and its still going strong. A couple people have gotten it confused with a Rolex from afar (maybe that was the design intention?), and I think it looks great and handles whatever I dish out.

Same, and same. Mine has the scalloped bezel which makes it look like an Omega Seamaster from afar. Up close, it's not nearly as detailed, but for the money it's been rock solid. With the coin bezel, it looks a lot like the Rolex Submariner.

I'm familiar with the name and wouldn't have any issue owning one.

I have a Seiko myself and love it though.

They're not bad, they're just not exactly high-end either. I've considered buying one to wear when I don't want to worry about having a nice watch on (that...or just not wear a watch :p)

Being that you required changing a watch to just change bands has me thinking you weren't really a watch guy to begin with.

Invicta is not a bad watch. A watch in general though should be bought because the owner likes it and it reflects their style.

If both the 'biker' and banker are buying a $5000 watch, their picks will be VERY different usually.
