Did you seriously expect to gain anything by using the iGPU to "help"? The performance difference between it and the GTX 480 is massive, so gains would be barely noticeable. Plus, the whole Virtu thing has a visible overhead.

Doesnt it hurt performance more often than it helps when you use it with a bigger graphics card?

Using cpu graphics to help a real video card is somewhat akin to trying to thicken ketchup with tomato juice.

Virtual V-Sync: this attempts to remove screen tearing, like normal v-sync, while reducing the penalty to responsiveness from input peripherals (mouse/keyboard).

Hyperformance: uses the integrated GPU on your 3770K to predict what frames aren't going to be displayed, and removes them from being worked on by the discrete GPU. Basically, the dedicated GPU has to work less hard, increasing input responsiveness just like Virtual V-Sync.

These only work when your frame rate is higher than your monitor's refresh rate. This means that if your monitor refreshes at 60Hz (most do), you need a frame rate higher than 60FPS for these to have any effect.

Well, that's how they're supposed to work at least.
