Is installing the Whistler Compatibility Toolkit in Win2000 an MS thing, or is it a hack?

Like does MS actually put out this update for Win2k?

It's a hack to make the WCT install under Win2k. WCT works fine under Win2k, it's just that it checks if the OS which it's installing under WinXP or not. The h4x0r3d version doesn't check if it's WinXP so it just installs regardless if it's Win2k.

Go to FreeDrive and enter in 'ntcompatible' for both login and p/w. Then click on the icon next to 'ntcompatible' on the left side and select WHACTv20.cab to download 🙂
