I saw a good deal on some Infineon DDR SDRAM 256MB DIMM. Is Infineon a good quality brand to get?

I'd say so, yes. It may not be the best for overclocking - and is often found in branded PCs such as Dell.

Overall, you cant go wrong with Infeneon, but before you buy, check if the chips are compatible with your motherboard - you'll probably find such as list on the mobo manufacturers website.

I think Infineon used to be part of Siemens so the chips should be quite good.

Its decent, thats about where it ends. Nothing to brag about, but good for a budget machine

Infineon was some of the the best pc133 a few years back. Actually I think my Kingston PC2700 sticks have infineon chips on them and I was able to run very tight timings at 172fsb.

I've heard Infineon's OK, though of course I'd much rather have Crucial or Corsair.

Just so ya know...
I have had 6 sticks of 256 meg pc 2700 from them and each one ended up hitting 230 fsb with very little vdimm needed. So i would say yes... their memory rox. Just make sure you get it on a good pcb.
