is ICQ99b still supported?

i had to reformat my computer and i can't register. is their server down, or do they no longer support old clients?

I just did the same thing the other day, and it let me register with 99b. Just try back later I guess.

yep, try again.

I just reinstalled icq99a (probably the best version on a feature:no crap included ratio)

ive used 99b, 99a, 98, and an earlier version (somthing like xxxx, just a revision number) within the last 6 mo and they all work fine. i used 99b a week ago

definitely try again, but also look into using miranda icq. nice, simple, NON-bloatware icq. works really well on my win2k system

weird... it's still not letting me register. i used it a week ago with no problems.

can i still use my old database with miranda icq?

yep, it's got a VERY cool database import feature. all you need is your old "db99" directory.

strange. i get the error but their network appears to be up...

Q: What is Error #101 ?
A: This error usually shows we are upgrading our database and it currently doesn't work. You can always check our network status page.

interesting... it KNOWS if i enter the wrong password, yet it won't register me when i enter the correct one...:confused:

Strange. I reformatted my computer and reinstalled ICQ99b two days ago and registered without any problem.

You might want to try back later. Good luck.:)
