After InPhase Technologies went bankrupt in 2010, why hasn't any other company taken over the development of HVD (Holographic Versatile Disc), there hasn't been any word I think about further development of the technology from what I know, I might be wrong. However according to Wired who has sourced their information from the New York Times, https://www.wired.com/2009/04/ge-holographic-breakthrough-squeezes-100-dvds-into-a-single-disc/ , GE has been working on the same thing around 2009.

Who is the actual developer or owner of the technology? Is it GE or InPhase Technologies, or are they both the same thing? If they are both the same thing, why hasn't any other company takeover the development of this technology, as it can exceed the capacity of blue ray by many times?
