Is HP's Ink Estimate thing accurate?

Jesus Christ, I print a couple CD labels at Normal Ink Level, no Automatic Image Enhancement and already I'm down to 10% color, 50% color. I remember with an older cartridge (same printer, same model cartridges, just an older cartridge)...it said 0% color but I milked that thing to death...hmm?

I find it fairly accurate. I use the HP Deskjet 932C, and it hasn't failed me yet (and it's nearly 2 or more years old).
