I took part in a very comprehensive and long market study for Honda and it seems like they are very serious about making a new coupe or roadster. From what I gather, this will not be the new S2000 but something different. Maybe a replacement. Any word?
they wont' have a s2000 sucessor. maybe the prelude but everyone doubts it.
and nsx is gonna be way mor ethan 30-40k (look towards 80k+). If nsx is a solid plan i don't think honda will want to open another line for another rwd sportscar.
the only competition nsx has is probably the lexus lf-a
"they won't have a s2000 successor. maybe there might might might be a prelude but everyone doubts that it will happen."
therefore, there will be no s2000 direct sucessor. If you want to count the TSX coupe as a sucessor then....so be it.
the TSX coupe is going to be around 30-32 grand or so. The TSX coupe will be closer to the accord line more than anything from Honda. To me, calling the TSX coupe as a s2000 successor is a blasphemy because the tsx coupe will be front wheel drive.
