i think being gay is bad, because it's damn clear that god didn't mean for us to be that way, and you know all those gay folks just do it so they can get the crap kicked out of them. they're into that kind of weird kinky stuff, you know, getting beaten to death by rednecks.

look folks, you guys can make all the horribly long posts about this you want, but

a.) you're not going to change anybody's mind
b.) you're not going to magically find the answer

why don't you just go ask some gay people? or do you think there's some sort of conspiracy by them to fool us all into thinking they can't help being gay?

<< <<How a particular sexual orientation develops in any individual is not well understood by scientists.>>

BUSTED LOL

Try reading the articles you posting beofre making a fool out of yourself little buddy.
>>

Moron, scientists are more than willing to admit they don't know everything. But the evideces do show there's a strong correlation between physiology/genetics and homosexuality. And since scientists are ready to admit they don't know everything, you think bible thumpers do? Wow...such stupidity.

<< See..............that's exactly the point you miss! MindStrong I could care less what you think, or what so called "evidence" you think you can produce!!! It has been mentioned here on A/T MANY times............those whom write the "textbooks" or whom fund the "research" have a large say in what goes in them! This is NOT opinion............it IS fact! Any point you care to make could be easily disputed..................but...............to be honest............it just doesn't matter that much to me!!

I've been around long enough, I have my own life expieriences to pull from, plus, if something catches my eye, I'll read about it. I also develope my opinions from what I witness going on and I['m sorry to say, you, nor all those like you in the world will change my opinion or those whom agree with me.....................just as we will never change yours!! What you fail to accept is that there are different opinions than yours and they are no more flawed than the ideals you hold so dear to you....................the difference is, I'm more accepting! I do NOT feel the need to preach to you.......................while it is very obvious you fit the category I do not care for.................you feel the need to preach your ideals to anyone whom will pay attention because you can not grasp the possibility you may be wrong!!!!!

Your method clearly shows your insecurities and for that, I feel sorry for you because you are the type which makes things worse for those like you or those whom hold the same ideals. I know you will not accept this either, but, perhaps you should consider that there will always be those whom disagree with your view.................until the time comes that you can accept this, all the preaching in the world will do no more than fuel those opposed to you............ Lighten up and try to accept others views or you're in for a long, hard lesson................
>>

tomemeIn response to the comment about not caring what I think, obviously you do since you typed a long reply full of nothing. I'm flattered you think so highly of me to bother typing all of those previous lengthy replies.

Anyway, I'm done. I (and a bunch of others) gave numerous links to references. Find half-ass faults with those evidences all you want but keep in mind that the bible, your opinions, and the like do not hold well against scientific evidences. Buh-bye.

I'm special, everyone :) tobeme thinks so.

<< Likewise, just because a person is gay doesn't mean he chose that lifestyle because he wants to defy god, thinks it's "cool" (which tobeme claims to be their reason....what a moron), and will go to hell (if there is one). >>

OK.................since you like using explatives, let's end this once and for all!!!;) You supply me a link saying without a shadow of a doubt that everyone in a "Gay" relationship today is in it because they were biologically predispositioned to that lifestyle, and I'll openly and freely admitt I am wrong and apologize to you!!!! My whole point since my first post in this thread has said that I simply do not believe ALL people whom are in/have been in gay relationships are in fact biologically gay by nature.......BUT........you can not accept this and must resort to name calling like the child you are!

Come on.......where is the link proving my whole point wrong???????;)

You really are halarious Mindstorm. I bust your sorry ass on point after point and you not only read the link I posted but you run away from the rest of my points.

Btw, since I never mentioned the Bible there goes another one of your Moronic theories LOL

Are there any gays here that say they chose to be gay? I haven't seen a lot of homosexuals here, but I have seen some. If a gay person posted that he/she was attracted to the opposite sex at first but for some reason chose to go the other way, would that alter anyones opinion here? I dunno what I'd think. Personally, I'm a little taken aback with homosexuals. I don't want to feel that way, but it's probably a direct result of the kind of upbringing I had. Typical middle-class, dad working, stay-at-home mom upbringing from the 70's. When I was growing up it was always "Fvcking i love you", "damn queer". To be called a homo, with any of the various slang words, was a giant putdown. It was probably just easier to hate fags if you thought they were what they were because of choice. I've known a few homosexuals in my life (probably more than a few, but not out of the closet yet) and I was always leery...are they looking at me funny?, are they standing a little too close?, that kind of stuff. Again, reactions based on upbringing.

Is it choice or genes? I'll probably never know. Is it wrong? In what way? I'm not a religous person so I really can't say it goes aginst God. I can only say what I feel...I don't understand it, and I don't understand how anyone could choose to be that way.

Needless to say, my son will be raised to be a little more tolerant towards others than I was.

<< Yes. And against God. >>

I don't quite understand this...
I am gay. So how am I going against God if he created and made me this way? Cause i certainly had no choice in it.
>>

He made you, but did not make you be 'gay'. He gave us free minds and choices, and also consequences for the wrong choices.
>>

And what scientific evidence do you have to back your statement? Don't blatently tell me "because the bible says so!"

No.............honestly, I respect your opinion, but, it matters not to me in the least...............I just like arguing with idiots whom can not see anyones opinion except their own and you make it very clear that you qualify to be included in that group concerning this subject!;)

Of course you're "done".................you can not prove a thing, so, you run away from the discussion..............you can not prove my point wrong, and ignore it's validity, so, you run...................but then, what else should be expected from you............;)

<< << The bible also said the earth was at the center of the universe. >>

No, I'm afraid it doesn't. You should probably be familiar with something if you're going to show that it disproves itself. Show me the verse and I'll show you where you're wrong.
>>

No, but the bible does say the entire human race was spawned by a single man and a single woman. If that were true, we would be so ridiculously inbread, we wouldn't be able to see straight (or even breathe)
It also says a sinlgle man, Noah, rounded up 2 of every specie, fed them for 40 days and helped them reproduce.

Texmaster - Have you ever had a conversation with a homosexual about their homosexuality? It might open your eyes a bit.

Until you can prove homosexuality is genetic, shut your pie hole. And, even if it were found to be genetic, it would be a defect. :p

Smart guy, genetics were so much more pure back then. We are dealing with inbreeding defects because we've come this far.

So you actually believe in Adam and Eve? So is inbreeding not wrong because we had to do it? When did got say "Ok, enough of that now, I don't like all of this inbreeding"
Also, in 5000 years, 2 people were able to populate the earth with 6 billion people?

OK..................forget about the bible crap, just tell me................where would the human race be today if all men were attracted to other men, and all women to other women???????? Just doesn't make much scientific sense either does it?????;) Face it............I don't care what they do and think they should have equal rights with others, but, being attracted to the same sex is scientificly incorrect as it serves absolutely no purpose as to reproduction which is the foremost reason for mating in the first place, therefore, even for those whom are biologically predispositioned to being homosexual, it is a genetic flaw!;)

Ah, at least there is still someone with half a brain rather than these animal loving, buck futting, pu$$y-assed brainless morons I see who think the absolute most rediculous things and are convinced that if anyone disagrees, that they should be taken out of office...'Course, that's a two way street, and I think the same the other way around..

WIll it ever stop?

Nope, not until some people have their way and any and all form of oppinsition to believe is banished and America is like 17th century England. "Believe in evolution and homo-rights or off with your head!"

I was going to edit and take some things out of this, but I still agree with everything in this post...I see the thread is still staying halfway civil so ignore it if you wish.

ah, once again little homeschooled lord maul tries to make a point but fails miserably. tries to recreate the endless stream of brainwashing garbage his parents must be filling his head with but can't quite do it. poor lord maul.

Wouldn?t it have to be a defective gene? If it were a normal gene they would be bred out of the gene pool because they can?t procreate on there own. Some ATOT genetic genius will probably prove me wrong though.

In 7,000-10,000 years, Adam and Eve populated the earth. Don't ask me how; I wasn't there. Also, I think incest is wrong in today's world. If God chose to change the rules over time (like he did with the death of Christ), that's his choice. Don't blame me, take it up with Him.

<< where would the human race be today if all men were attracted to other men, and all women to other women???????? >>

Yeah, and why is it that most gays (the hardcore flamers) try so hard to look like women and hardcore lesbians try so hard to look like men?

Nope. It's called a recessive gene. By your logic, we would have no genetic diseases at all because those people wouln't be able to breed and pass the disease on.

Homophobia in my opinion is very unnatural. Naturally speaking, us straight guys should be happy for the decreased competition. It's only the unnatural religious overtones that are imposed on us that make people homophobic. On the other hand, lesbianism is very unnatural and should be frowned upon, if you care about the survival of mankind. Look at it this way, even if 80% of men were gay, the remaining 20% could easily impregnate almost 100% of the fertile women. On the other hand, if 80% of women were lesbians, humanity would meet a quick demise, short of women having 10 kids, also because males would be killing each other over access to the 20% of women.
I guess it's less of a concern with artificial insemenation.

I've said a lot of gay things in my time (;p) but I've never been a supporter for the homosexual lifestyle. Sorry to disappoint you.

When two gays or two lesbians have sexual relations naturally and one gets pregnant and has a baby, you, sir, will have a Nobel Prize.
