I wouldn't trust it..$20 for 400W..and the 12v rails aren't that great. I bought a $20 400w psu once..it went pow, and took the motherboard..more then likely it's cheap, because it's made of cheap components.

My IBM Desktop at work has a Hipro PSU, and its been working for several years now, only because its suppose to be just a plain ol word/excel/powerpoint system...or is it now...hehe, well yeah, if your not going to be stressing out the system, even a cheap PSU might do the trick, still better get a high quality PSU just to be safe. :)

Most inexpensive PSUs seem to do well if no power demands are made on them. If you don't add on components that suck juice and stuff, they seem to go on forever.

Case in point, my ole Linux eMachine has nothing to demand is still running. Just my luck, it could fail tomorrow. i just try to keep it simple and it keeps on ticking.

Not a good quality PSU. If you already have one and it's working then you should be fine. But I wouldn't recommend one to anybody.

I have a bunch of reviews on my main computer, I happen to be on my laptop now however. But if you just do a google search yourself you will find that Hipro PSUs arn't much of a treat, the price tag is only a small clue.

Correction, Hipro makes their own PSUs.

Having actually USED Hipro power supplies, I would say they're not that bad. They're no SeaSonic, but they're no Deer either. I would take a Hipro any day over many of those noname brands that come with many cases. I've got an old Hipro that was one of the first ATX power supplies we got (P2 era) and it still keeps going. I used a newer one more recently and it worked pretty well, though it did give off a good bit of heat under heavy load.

Not bad, but if your looking to power a gaming rig, I wouldn't count on one. If your just powering a simple 2nd rig or something, I suppose you would be fine with one.
