I have a DCR-TRV 525 camcorder, what is the best way to get high quality audio using this camera? I need to record an application tape for a piano competition.
This is what i've been told:
The mic jack is not ideal because we are trying to go through a recorder (for reverb) and in to the camera...typically these mic jacks are not stereo but this one might well be, the manual doesnt say. I would rather use a left/right audio input which I THINK that this camera has, but again the manual is not to clear on how to get external audio into the camera.
Any idea what I need to have in order to connect an external mixer to the camera for audio, or if it is even possible?
