i broke the HDD led connection to motherboard on my d.vine4 case

my question is, will the abit nf7-s2 motherboard be able to function
just having PWR and RESET connections?

i am assuming the HDD led connection is just to show me that there's disk access

thanks

My stupid case has a 3-pin connector for the Power LED and a 2-pin connector for the HD LED. And, of course, the MB has two 2-pin connectors for both :p. So I had to choose whether I wanted a constant green light or a flashing red light. I went with the HD LED, as in the long run I figured I'd know when my system was powered on by it's C-130-like system fans.

I prefer a minimalist approach to this and only connect the power button. I don't really need a reset button because I can just do that from the start menu, and I don't want the lights to distract if I'm watching something in the dark.

You mean you've never had Windows freeze on you where you cant even access the Start Menu? LOL, I think thats why they invented the reset button.

But that is time consuming, especially since you'll be using it when you're already pissed off that the computer has crashed. :p

Nahhhhh, it's not the same. I think that the reset button was a requirement with the first ver of windows and ever after. :D
