I am looking into pre-ordering it for the 360. Pros? Cons? How is the game?

Its fun, but I don't think I got $90 worth of enjoyment out of it. I probably would have if I had a second person to play with/against or if you have parties. If you play it alone I don't think its worth the money (you can buy a real guitar for not that much more and actually learn to play).

I've only played it on the PS/2 but it was a blast. I played on easy and got booed off stage playing Heart Shaped Box. Then I waited and watched while my buddy jammed and came back strong playing John the Fisherman.

I don't own it but I've played my friend's (on the PS2) enough. It's a fun game, especially with friends and alcohol.

I love GH and GH2...GH2 isn't quite as fun (song selection-wise) as GH1, but the extra features are really helpful.

wrong forum? I want OT's opinion because I talk with many of you day to day and I relate well. Nevertheless, I am willing to bet if the people here like it, I will also enjoy it.

Idk about the 360 version, but I know it's possible to mod the PS2 version to play whatever song you want. Being a mod, it isn't supported and from my understanding you need a modded PS2 to begin with, but it only works with Guitar Hero 2, so I think it's worth that if you're willing to go through the hassle. Here's a video of some guy playing a Dragonforce song they put on it:

The good thing about the 360 version is that you'll be able to download more songs as the devs make them available....not for free though.

If DDR is any indication, it'll probably be about a $1 per song or $8 for 10 songs. Supposedly, GH1 songs will be available at some point.

GH2 is one of the best games I've ever purchased. Worth $90? Hell to me it is worth $190 b/c I bought a PS2 just to play it. I've been playing nonstop for the last 2 weeks and am currently working on beating the HARD level. I pretty much have 5 starred everything on Medium. Playing w/ friends is a blast, especially dueling back and forth on guitar solos. I bought GH1 also and its just as much fun... just not as many features. But yea the songs rock on both. God I love jammin on Hangar 18 and Bark at the Moon. Don't think dude, get it.

Oh, and if you decide not to preorder and wait til it's released... here.

I was never a huge fan of Guitar Hero (1 or 2). I do watch my brother play it sometimes (the punk stole my modded PS2 to play it, so I better get some entertainment out of it) and he does fairly well (expert on at least half of the songs I believe). Although, it's really not my cup of tea. I'm having more fun playing the new DDR Universe on XBOX 360. If only my 360 would stop messing up and freezing like the retarded shoddy piece of crap it is :(.

Wow, I wonder how they did that? Wouldn't you have to add in which keys to play on the song?

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it either. I own GH and GHII and two wireless guitars. I enjoy playing it as much as my 9 year old does. We have a blast playing the game together.

We even have weekly playoffs for a little trophy he found. The winner gets to display the trophy in his room for a week until the next playoff. We play best two out of three. So far, I've been sandbagging him and letting him win, but he's getting good enough that I don't think I'll have to do that any more.

It was definitely worth every penny, and I think I've paid ~$200 for the wireless guitars and both games.

My friend has it on PS2 and we play it a lot. Very fun game and will also probably be detrimental to my grades.

Apparently there's some kind of software that maps the songs.
